To Edith being creative is a way of life and she finds painting absorbing and fulfilling. The juxtaposition of shapes and colours in the patchwork fields of the countryside around her home holds a fascination for her. Using a variety of media she creates her vision of the landscapes of County Tyrone, Donegal and beyond.
As she always wished to indulge in the Arts, Edith took a break from teaching to complete a Foundation Course in Art and Design. This only whetted her appetite for more. After exploring collage and other media, Edith’s interest in using pastels became her main passion.
