Matthew was born in Banbridge, Co Down in 1994 and is a talented up and coming young artist. His work has been heavily inspired by the pop art movement of the 1960′s but he adapts it in his own distorted/dissonant style. From a young age Matthew has been a fan of mixed media, which is prominent in his work today.
He has been recently accepted into the True Colours Gallery, which shows the most “unique and exciting display of the outstanding artwork being produced in Northern Ireland’s schools and colleges by the brightest young artists and designers”.
Matthew’s work is also being exhibited in Urban Outfitters – Belfast.
